Big golf prizes on offer for students
- Updated: September 30, 2014
Playgolf WEEK is giving all primary schools in Australia the chance to win a MyGolf Schools Kit valued at $550, a one-hour clinic with a Golf Australia Rookie Squad Member; and a $500 Coles/Myer Voucher for the teacher.
Simply, have your class or school design the ultimate mini-golf hole (it may be a drawn picture, a paper-mache or clay sculpture, a construction built on your oval or school grounds) and send it to Golf Australia electronically or via post or fax.
The entry judged the most creative wins.
Entry is free, and a school may enter more than once, however only one entry per year level per school is permitted. The competition opens at 9am (AEST) on October 1 and closes at 11.59 pm (AEDT) on November 23.
Playgolf WEEK will be held from November 17-23 and is a week of golf activities, including come-and try days, club special offers, and prizes and competitions. Almost 300 facilities Australia-wide are taking part in the event.
MyGolf is Australia’s national junior introductory program to develop and promote participation in golf. A 10-week introductory program to the sport, MyGolf is the major driver of junior golf participation in Australia.
MyGolf provides a fun, accessible and satisfying introduction to golf by promoting skills development, as well as the social and fun aspects of the sport.
